Frequently asked questions

How many Pokémon are in the Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow Pokédex?

The Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow tracker lists all 151 Pokémon, with caught and seen marks, version exclusives, evolutions and where to find every one.

Is there a map of where to find every Pokémon in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow?

Yes. Pick a Pokémon to see where it appears on the Kanto map, then tick it off when you catch it. The tracker also covers all 8 gym badges.

Does the Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow Pokédex tracker save my progress?

Your progress saves on your device, so it is still there next time you open the page. Sign in to a Team Respawn account to keep it across devices.

What is the difference between seen and caught in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow?

Seen means you have met the Pokémon in a battle or been shown it. Caught means it is registered in your Pokédex after a capture. The tracker keeps both marks separately, so you can plan which ones to hunt next.

Which Pokémon are version exclusive in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow?

Every Pokémon lists the games it can be found in, so exclusives are easy to spot. Use the version switch to see only what your copy can catch, and the rest are the ones to trade for.

Where do I get the Master Ball in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow?

The president of Silph Co. in Saffron City gives you the Master Ball after you clear the Silph Co. building and defeat Giovanni there. It catches any Pokémon without fail, so most players save it for Mewtwo.

Can I catch Mew in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow?

Not in normal play. Mew was only given out at events, so the tracker marks it as one you need to trade for rather than inventing a location.

Which Pokémon are Red and Blue exclusives?

The split is by version, for example Scyther and Electabuzz in Red and Pinsir and Magmar in Blue. Switch between versions in the tracker to see what your copy can catch and what you need to trade for.
