Lil Gator Game 100% Guide: Friends, Pots, Chests & Races
by Team Respawn· ~7 min read
Lil Gator Game is a cozy, open-world adventure about a little gator who builds a game with their friends for their older sister Jill. It is short and gentle, but chasing every last pot and friend takes a bit of planning. This guide covers what counts toward 100%, how the collectibles are spread across the island, and an efficient order to clear it.
Want to track as you go? Our Lil Gator Game 100% checklist and interactive map pins every friend, pot, chest and race on the island and saves your progress to your account.
What Counts Toward 100%
There are four collectible types that make up completion. Everything else on the checklist is tracked, but you do not need it for a full clear.
| Collectible | Count | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Friends | 56 | The island's characters. Eleven of them, including Zhu, Jill and the Bracelet Monkey, have more than one location on our map, so check every pin. |
| Pots | 93 | The big one. Hidden on cliffs, peninsulas and ledges all over the map. |
| Chests | 13 | Few, but spread over the whole island. |
| Races | 9 | Each one starts at a named landmark. |
That is 171 collectibles in total (56 + 93 + 13 + 9). The pots are more than half of the work, so most of your time will go there.
Tracked, but not needed for the percentage
- Quest items (13): story pickups such as the Stick, the Pot Pickup, the Cheese Sandwich Monsters, the Broken Scooter, the Shark Retainer and the eight Special Rocks.
- Junk 4 Trash shop (6): the Sticky Hand, Trampoline, Trash Can Lid, Wrench, Paint Gun and Grabby Hand, all bought from Roy the Trash Raccoon.
- Bracelets (4): bought from the Bracelet Monkey on Tutorial Island, in the East (Creeklands) by the windmill, in the West (Forest) in the big tree, and in the North (Mountain).
Where the Pots Are, by Region
Knowing which regions hold the most pots lets you plan your sweeps instead of wandering. The counts below come from our tracker data.
| Region | Pots | Chests | Races |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tutorial Island | 23 | 4 | 2 |
| West (Forest) | 19 | 1 | 3 |
| North (Mountain) | 19 | 2 | 2 |
| Northeast (Canyon) | 12 | 1 | 2 |
| East (Creeklands) | 10 | 3 | 0 |
| Central (Ravine) | 5 | 1 | 0 |
| Southeast (Beach) | 5 | 1 | 0 |
All nine races are in four regions: Tutorial Island, the Forest, the Mountain and the Canyon. The Creeklands, Ravine and Beach have none.
An Efficient Order
- Play through the story before you hunt. You gain movement tools and gear as you progress, so a region cleared early may need a second visit for the pots you cannot reach yet.
- Pick up the shop items and bracelets along the way. They are not needed for the percentage, but the tracker keeps a checklist for them if you want a complete run.
- Sweep Tutorial Island next. It has the most pots (23) and the most chests (4) of any region, and it is compact enough to clear in one pass.
- Do the Forest and the Mountain together. Each has 19 pots and they are the biggest remaining regions, so cleaning both up gets you past the halfway mark.
- Finish with the Canyon, Creeklands, Ravine and Beach. These are the smaller regions, so they work well as a tidy-up pass.
- Save the friends for last or pick them off as you pass them. Most are easy to spot when you are already running a region, and the tracker pins every one.
Tips for Finding Everything
- Pots hide in odd spots. Many are on small peninsulas, stump clusters and cliffside ledges, so check the edges of every region instead of the middle.
- Use the grid squares. Our checklist labels each pot, chest and race with its region and map grid square, so you can sweep one square at a time.
- Races have named starts. Each one begins at a landmark such as the grassy cliff or the Mountain's western peak, so look for the start before you try to run it.
- Tick as you go. It is easy to lose track of a 171-item list, and the tracker's completion percent only counts friends, pots, chests and races.
